Position Overview:
As a Data Analyst on the Finance Team, you will play a key role in improving financial decision-making and operational efficiency by leveraging data. You will collaborate closely with finance managers, accountants, and other stakeholders to drive data-informed financial strategies and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis:
Analyze financial data, transaction records, and operational metrics to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. – Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.
Financial Performance Analysis:
Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability metrics. – Identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and process improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. – Provide variance analysis and identify key drivers behind financial performance deviations.
Data Visualization:
Create informative dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex financial data findings to cross-functional teams, including finance managers, accountants, and executives.
Scenario Analysis:
Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the financial impact of potential business decisions and strategies. – Make data-driven recommendations based on analysis results.
Competitor and Market Analysis:
Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes. – Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
Risk Management:
Collaborate with risk management teams to integrate financial risk assessments into data analysis. – Use qualitative insights to complement quantitative data for comprehensive risk evaluation.
Data Quality Assurance:
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting data quality checks and working with data engineering teams as needed.
Data-driven Recommendations:
Provide data-backed recommendations for financial improvements, process enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance managers, accountants, and other stakeholders, to drive data-informed financial decisions and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Finance, Business).
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a finance-focused role.
- Experience in understanding different Payment Portals (RazorPay, Stripe, PayPal etc.) is a advantage
- Experience in both B2C and B2B business contexts.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
