Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role as the Senior Data Lead in Kotagiri. The Senior Data Lead will be responsible for the overall development and maintenance of our data infrastructure, ensuring the efficient collection, storage, and retrieval of data for the organization. They will also be responsible for identifying new data sources and patterns, working with data scientists and other engineers to create customized solutions, and will be expected to manage a team of data engineers to ensure high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- It’s a Techno managerial role with Managerial and Hands-On to drive Data-Driven Decision Making.
- Data Strategy Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives. Continuously refine and evolve the data strategy to keep it current with industry trends and best practices.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 6+ data professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they deliver high-quality work.
- Data Architecture: Oversee the design and maintenance of our data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data infrastructure.
- Data Analytics: Drive data analytics initiatives, including data exploration, visualization, and predictive modeling. Leverage Tableau and other tools to create actionable insights for various stakeholders.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulations.
- Data Integration: Lead efforts to integrate data from various sources, including mobile app usage data, customer data, and external data sources, to create a holistic view of our business.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the CEO, CFO, and CPO to provide data-driven insights and support strategic decision-making. Serve as a trusted advisor on all data-related matters.
- Data Security: Ensure the security and privacy of sensitive data by implementing robust security measures and staying up-to-date with data security best practices.
- Data Quality: Monitor data quality and implement processes for data cleansing and validation to maintain the integrity of our datasets.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and data trends. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics).
- 10+ years of experience in a data leadership role.
- Strong expertise in data and data warehouse technologies, including Snowflake, Tableau, DBT, Python, and similar tools.
- Proven experience in developing and executing data strategies.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- A track record of making data-driven decisions that positively impact business outcomes.
